The Elliott House

• The Elliott House, also a culinary school, is in an old farmhouse from the mid-1800s. The Elliott House offers fine dining in five historical dining rooms, each authentically decorated and including woodwork and bookcases from the time of the house's construction. The Elliott House's menu features entrees including Australian lamb, lobster and vegetarian, ranging from $27-$41CAD. The restaurant offers dozens of wine varieties from all over the world, from North America to Europe to Australia. The Elliott House is at Kennedy Road and Cooper's Ave.
  
  

La Petite France

• Owner and chef of this restaurant, Patrick, offers authentic French cuisine such as roasted provimi veal liver, braised lamb, rabbit stew and magret duck breast for up to $29CAD. Enjoy steamed mussels or garlic sauteed frog legs for appetizers. A wide selection of French wines complete the menu. The dining room itself is styled after a warm, European bistro and promises a relaxing evening or afternoon. • Grano Ristorante is a small restaurant that offers authentic Italian cuisine made by husband-and-wife owners Sandro and Felina. Grano Ristorante's menu includes fettuccine primavera, linguini pescatore and gnocchi, as well as big hearty portions of veal, rainbow trout and chicken, to name a few. All entrees come with vegetables and garlic and spinach mashed potatoes. Whole wheat pasta can be substituted for white pasta. Desserts are made by hand daily. Reservations are recommended. • Ming Room is a Chinese restaurant with Indian roots, an unusual kind of restaurant called "Hakka." Ming Room promises authentic Chinese food with an Indian touch, as evidenced in dishes such as Hot Garlic Tangra Chicken Balls and Vegetable Calcutta Chopsuey. The Chinese-Indian restaurant also offers typical Chinese fare such as fried wontons and vegetable rolls. Ming Room boasts two Mississauga locations, both with takeout available.
