    • 1). Insert the red, white and yellow cables that come with the DVD burner into the DVR's output ports and the DVD recorder's input ports.

    • 2). Route the output for the DVD recorder to the input of your TV with the same types of cables.

    • 3). Check to make sure your connections are properly secured. If you're able to see and hear the program on your TV, all cables are properly connected.

    • 4). Press the eject button on the DVD recorder and wait for the tray to open. Insert a blank, recordable DVD into the recorder.

    • 5). Choose the proper recording speed; you'll be prompted to select SP, EP, or LP, the same as if you were dubbing a tape. LP and EP have longer recording times but diminished video and audio quality.

    • 6). Press "Record" on the DVD recorder and press "Play" on the DVR. The program will be recorded onto the blank DVD as it plays. When the program has ended, select "Finalize" to close the disk. You will be able to watch it on any DVD player.
