No Bid Military Contracts Versus Ramming a $878 Billion Stimulus Bill Through in a Week

Politics are fun to watch in America, but often you get so overwhelmed by the hypocrisy, it's hard not to laugh.
During the Bush Administration, the opposition party, the Democrats, complained about the "no-bid contracts" in Iraq.
They cited how certain companies appeared to get a huge gift from our government, paid by us the taxpayers.
In reality the companies chosen for such contracts were probably the only companies on the planet that would be able to do that type of work and sending it out to bid could take 60-days or more.
Not to mention give information to our enemies due to the description of the solicitation bidding process.
The issues with military procurement are in need of overhaul.
However, there are times when no-bid contracts are needed and prudent due to time factors of critical situations, there simply is no time.
Now then, for the Obama Administration to disagree with my comment, I say to them, why did the administration make it so the Stimulus Package had to be passed so quickly without allowing anyone time to read it? There is a 5-day rule, and with that many pages it would take five days to read.
You see, one cannot argue both ways on a philosophical basis without addressing the reality of situation.
In Mahatma Gandhi's "Seven Blunders of the World" he rightfully assigned "Politics without Principle" as the seventh and one of the most critical blunders of all.
Please think on this, we must live without hypocrisy and stand for our shared values.
