How to Attach a Headboard to a Hollywood Bed
- 1). Purchase a set of headboard brackets made specifically for your Hollywood bed frame.
- 2). Prepare brackets and headboard per manufacturer's directions for installation.
- 3). Install the headboard to the Hollywood bed frame using the brackets, and following the steps as provided in the manufacturer's directions.
- 1). Mark placement of the bed frame's pre-drilled holes (found at the top end of the metal frame) on the headboard.
- 2). Drill holes through the locations marked on the headboard.
- 3). Align the headboard holes with the pre-drilled holes in the Hollywood frame.
- 4). Attach the headboard to the frame with bolts, washers and nuts.
- 1). Should your headboard be large enough that end bolts only would not keep it stable,
cut a one-inch thick by 12-inch wide board the width of the Hollywood bed frame. - 2). Mark placement of the bed frame's pre-drilled holes (found at the top end of the metal frame) on the stability board.
- 3). Drill holes through the locations marked on the stability board.
- 4). Align the stability board holes with the pre-drilled holes in the Hollywood frame.
- 5). Attach the stability board to the frame with bolts, washers and nuts.
Attach the headboard to the stability board, screwing through the stability board at eight-inch intervals in a zig-zag pattern with upper and lower rows of screws.
