Hi, I'm Lisa Nielson, Beauty Maven and Celebrity Makeup Artist. Today, I'm going to be talking about what are the best type of eyelashes for Asian women. So, when selecting a false eyelash, you want to find something that says demi on it. Those tend to look more natural regardless of your race. I think that they key is going to lie in a few tricks that I'm going to teach you today. So, what you want to do first is go ahead and pull the eyelash track off of the base that it comes on. Now, the trick is in two little secrets that I'm going to teach you. First of all, you want to fit this eyelash to the eye. Okay. So, on our beautiful model, Angie, we're just going to have her close her eye, we're going to line this up first and get an idea of just how long we want it to be. Okay. And that's really something that most women, you know, and the frustration for them lies in not being able to get it to fit properly to their own eyelid and truthfully, if you trim it so that it's just long enough, you want it to go just so, "Go ahead and close your eye for me, Angie", you want it to fit nicely right at the lash line all the way across. So, what we're going to do too, I'm going to teach you another trick and this will save your life, we're going to put just a little base of glue on her actual lash line before we ever put the eyelash on. "So, just stay close for me", we're going to lay down just a very light application of glue. Now, when in doubt, use less glue. That sort of my general rule of thumb when it comes to eyelashes. You can do this you guys, I know that false eyelashes are hard and sometimes some women even classified them as being scary, you can definitely do this. So, what you want to do is just use the glue minimally. So, I'm going to go ahead and apply that to the actual lashes right now. You'll notice that I'm just using a Q-tip, you can certainly use some type of a professional brush. Very light application of glue because remember that less is more. You want to let this set for maybe 20 to 30 seconds. Obviously, we don't have that time frame when we're on camera, but I'm going to encourage this to dry and encourage you when you apply them to give it just a few seconds to setup. Then, we're going to go right to the lash line and just lay that down carefully. "Go ahead and stay close for me." We're going to go back in with a Q-tip and just hold that in place for a minute and give an opportunity to seal. I think women regardless of race can absolutely wear false eyelashes and this will just enhance their look, maybe for an evening out or a special event. The trick again is fitting them to your eye and just making sure that you don't use too much glue. Of course you could go over that line with some eyeliner. "Go ahead and open for me, Angie". And make sure that there's not any glue underneath, that she's not catching; this is a nice application for her and that looks natural. You could go back in and just press those edges up, just about halfway from the edge is perfect. This is obviously more dramatic lash for her. You could experiment with some, that are a little bit thinner, a little bit shorter. I think that this, this looks great with her smokey eye that we've done. Okay. I'm Lisa Nielson and that is the type of eyelashes I would recommend for an Asian woman.
