How to Replace a Garmin Nuvi 760 Battery
- 1). Call Garmin's repair service line (1-800-800-1020) and tell the customer assistant that you need to replace the battery on your device. You will need to provide your Nuvi's serial number, return address and phone number.
- 2). Arrange for the repair payment. Garmin charges a flat $99 for Nuvi 760 repairs, according to their website. If you have purchased your device within a year of the repair date, then the Nuvi is covered under the manufacturer's warranty, therefore you will not have to pay for battery replacement. If your device is covered by the warranty, have proof of purchase ready when you call the repair line.
- 3). Record your return material authorization number when speaking with the repair line assistant. This number helps Garmin track and return the device.
