How to Get a Rat out of a Trap
- 1). Put on leather gloves.
- 2). Carry the trap to the release location.
- 3). Raise the trap's door just enough to slide the block of wood underneath so that it holds the door open.
- 4). Back away from the trap and allow the rat to find its way out.

Put on leather gloves. - 2). Hold snap trap over an open garbage bag and pull back on the metal bar holding the rat. You may need to shake the trap a bit to loosen the rat before it falls into the bag.
- 3). Wrap rat in garbage bag and dispose.
