How to Take the Radio Out of a Chevy Cobalt
- 1). Open the hood and disconnect the battery's negative terminal with a socket wrench to prevent any accidental short circuits.
- 2). Remove the four clips from the trim panel above the glove box with a flathead screwdriver.
- 3). Unclip the upper edge of the trim panel below the steering column with a flathead screwdriver. Unclip and remove the small panel to the right of the ignition switch.
- 4). Remove the four clips from the trim panel surrounding the radio and air-conditioning unit. Remove the trim panel.
- 5). Remove the four screws securing the radio using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Unplug the radio's electrical connector and pull the radio out of the vehicle.
