How to Download a Video From a PVR
- 1). Look at your PVR for the type of video output it supports. It could be USB (most common) or Firewire.
- 2). Look on your computer for a port that matches your PVR's.
- 3). Plug the cable from your PVR to your computer. If there is not a matching port, you may need to buy an adapter piece.
- 4). Turn on your computer and then the PVR. Wait for your computer to recognize the PVR and download the necessary drivers. It should start downloading drivers automatically, but if it does not, place the disc that came with your camera into the computer's disc drive and install the software/drivers.
- 5). Click on "Open Folder" when a pop-up box asks you what you want to do. Find the files you want and drag them to your desktop.
- 1). Look at your PVR for an SD card (memory card). It may be near the battery compartment, and is slightly larger than a postage stamp.
- 2). Take the SD card out of the camera by pressing on it or moving the tiny switch aside.
- 3). Plug the SD card into the corresponding memory card slot on your computer.
- 4). Open "My Computer" and click on the memory card drive to open the folder.
- 5). Drag and drop the video files onto your computer desktop.
