Glued Art

• 1). Draw a design on a piece of paper using a pencil. String glue over the design in small sections at a time.
  
  
• 2). Scoop up a small a one-half teaspoonful of colored sand over the glued area. Pour on one color at a time.
  
  
• 3). Allow the glue to dry by placing the picture flat in an area that it can rest undisturbed.
  
  

Bottle Art

• 1). Collect or buy finely sifted sand. Remove any large pieces like rocks by sifting the sand through a sieve.
  
  
• 2). Scoop cups of sand in plastic bowls. Mix one tablespoon of powder paint into each bowl.
  
  
• 3). Put the lids on the bowls and give them a shake.
  
  
• 4). Place a small-necked clear decorative jar on the workspace in front of you. Put a small funnel inside the jar.
  
  
• 5). Pour spoonfuls of colored sand into the funnel to make layered art. Fill up the jar with sand. Do not leave empty space at the top. This will prevent the sand from shifting if the jar is shook.
  
  
• 6). Place the stopper on top of the jar and set it somewhere you can enjoy looking at it.
