    • 1). Remove all furniture from the room. Remove floor coverings and base moldings from the room.

    • 2). Find nails or screws securing the plywood to the floor joists. Begin in the farthest corner of the room so you will have a room exit available.

    • 3). Set a power screwdriver to rotate counterclockwise and place the tip of the screwdriver into the screw head slot. Unscrew the screws and set them away from the work area. If nails hold the plywood to the floor joists, wedging the claw end of a hammer under the nail head pull the nails out of the plywood.

    • 4). Lift the plywood sheet from the edge while standing on a secured piece of plywood. Continue to loosen screws or pull nails and lift the plywood off the floor joists until no plywood remains over the floor joists.
