The basic building block to being successful is having motivation.
This may not be what you wanted to hear but it is the absolute truth.
Students who are successful on tests and exams often make sacrifices and study more than students who just get by.
People who are successful in business or life have the desire to be successful and they go out and make it happen instead of waiting for success.
Again, motivation and a desire to succeed are the cornerstones of being successful.
Now don't get me wrong there are other factors involved in being successful but without motivation you won't excel at whatever your trying to achieve.
For those people that don't think they have any motivation I completely disagree.
Everyone has a certain level of motivation but some of us chose to block out distractions more than others.
Tiger Woods is a great example of someone who can block out all distractions and focus to make the clutch shot and his desire to be the best does not let him settle or rest on previous successes.
People who want good grades or to be a better person, succeed at business or whatever your motivation is you have to find it, grab on to it and not let it go regardless of what or who is trying to take it from you.
I was a student that always settled for things in life, school, everything.
I changed because I was tired of mediocrity and my motivation was to get the most out of life.
It all started with becoming a better student and learning how to study effectively not to mention increasing my study speed.
