Thumbody Loves You

• The Thumbody Loves Us craft allows kids to get messy and express their creative side. Let kids pick out their favorite piece of lightly colored construction paper. Prior to starting, place bowls of finger paints in the center of each work station. Instruct the preschoolers to dip one thumb into green paint and press down across the entire bottom of the page, creating "grass." Next, dip their second thumb into any color they desire. Use thumbprints to craft flowers, a sun, a caterpillar, a ladybug and a butterfly across the page. Write the phrase "Thumbody loves you! God, that's who!" across the top and allow the picture to dry.
  
  

The Greatest Valentine

• Prior to starting this craft, draw a large heart on a piece of 8 1/2 by 11 inch white paper. Write the word "Valentine" down the center of the heart. Add the Bible verse John 3:16 with a thin-tipped marker across the heart. Use the letters in the word "Valentine" to convey the verse. For example, "V" works for the line "For God so loved the world." Make copies of the finished heart for every child. Instruct kids to cut out their hearts and glue them onto red construction paper. Help them write "John 3:16" across the top of the paper and their name across the bottom.
  
  

Jesus Loves Me Plate

• One paper plate is needed for every participant when completing this craft. Prior to starting, an adult needs to draw "Jesus Loves" at the top of all applicable plates. Use various colored markers so kids get to pick their favorite color in class. Green, red, blue and orange are all suitable options. Set up all work areas with numerous crayons, colored pencils and markers. Instruct all children to write their own name across the bottom of the plate. Refer to the words you put up top for proper placement. Have the children draw a picture of themselves in the center and decorate the sides as desired.
  
  

Bookmarks

• Don't toss out those old greeting cards, magazines or cardboard cut-out images. Instead, spread them out on the table and help preschoolers find words or pictures that reflect Jesus' love for them. A cross or a heart are two examples of suitable images. Tear out a page of different pink shades or another desired color and draw a cross image on top of the background. Once you've got the pictures selected, cut them into a 2 by 4 inch rectangle. Add the phrase "Jesus Loves" and each child's name across the rectangle. Glue the rectangle onto card stock or laminate it for long-term use. Hole punch the top and weave through a piece of ribbon.
