    • 1). Tie a slip knot in the end of the yarn. Begin crocheting a chain by inserting the hook into the loop in the slip knot. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the loop in the slip knot. This is your first chain stitch. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the first chain. Continue crocheting the chain, as long as you want the finished cord to be. Measure the chain to ensure it is the desired length.

    • 2). Insert the crochet hook in the chain that is next to the hook. Yarn-over and pull the yarn through the chain and the loop that is on the hook to make the first slip stitch. Working from right to left, slip stitch in each chain, until you reach the end.

    • 3). Tie off the free ends of the yarn and trim excess yarn with scissors. .
