Instructions on How to Make a Simple Circuit Board
- 1). Insert electronic component leads through the holes on the board. The components should rest on the side of the board without the copper coating.
- 2). Cut lengths of insulated conducting wire long enough to connect components.
- 3). Strip 1/4-inch of insulation off both ends of the conducting wires.
- 4). Insert each conducting wire into the same hole as its corresponding component pin. Insert the wire from the component side of the board. The bare end of the component pin and the bare end of the conductor should be exposed on the copper-clad side of the board.
- 5). Clip any excess wire off of the conductor.
- 6). Heat the soldering iron and solder the conductors and component pins in place.
