Electronic Cigarettes Not A Hoax After All
Electronic cigarettes are not a hoax. The journey to stop smoking cigarettes has been a rough one for me. I have tried many times to quit. I have even been successful a few of those times but it never seemed to stick.
My morning commute was my first cigarette of the day. I am always slow to get up so I'm usually rushing to get out of the door so that I'm not late to work. As soon as I'm on the road, the craving hits.
It usually presented itself as a restlessness in my upper body. I wasn't able to really sit still. As soon as I started snapping at other drivers and yelling at them for being stupid, I knew I was in need of that first drag of the day.
Most days I only made it to the main road before needing to fire up.
Almost as soon as I started puffing I would instantly calm down and be a much happier person. This was a repeating cycle that went on through out the day. Get stressed, snap at people, smoke, be happy, rinse and repeat.
I hated smoking. I didn't like the way my chest felt. I could feel the years of smoking taking its toll. I was still young and I didn't want to wind up like some of the guys I worked with. They were into their 40s and 50s and had been smoking since they were young.
I didn't want to wind up like this. I had to figure out another method to quit that did not involve patches or gum. These always seemed to pump more nicotine into my body than I was doing with cigarettes. I tried both of these techniques at least 2 times a piece. I was still smoking.
My doctor he had a friend that had been smoking for over 20 years and was able to finally kick the habit with electronic cigarettes. This was something new to me and I wanted to learn more about it so I ventured online to find out how these electronic cigarettes worked.
The science and idea behind them seemed solid so I gave it a try. It's not like I had many other options left. After 12 years of smoking, I quit completely within 1 week. Electronic cigarettes work.
