Kindle 2 or Kindle DX Instructions

• 1). Turn on your computer and wait for it to fully boot up.
  
  
• 2). Connect your Kindle 2 or Kindle DX to your computer with the supplied USB cable.
  
  
• 3). Turn your Kindle on and wait for your computer to recognize your Kindle. Your computer should recognize your Kindle as an external hard drive.
  
  
• 4). Drag and and drop your PDF file from your computer to your Kindle.
  
  
• 5). Unplug your Kindle from your computer and verify the PDF file has been added to the device.
  
  

Kindle 1 Instructions

• 1). Email your PDF file to your Kindle email account, which is username@free.kindle.com, where "username" is your personal user name. Amazon will convert your PDF to Kindle's native AZW format.
  
  
• 2). Wait for a few hours until the converted AZW file is emailed back to you.
  
  
• 3). Save the AZW in your designated ebook folder.
  
  
• 4). Connect your Kindle to your computer, as outlined in the first section.
  
  
• 5). Drag and drop the newly converted AZW file to your Kindle.
