How to Back up a Verizon BlackBerry Curve
- 1). Install the BlackBerry Desktop Software that came with your Verizon BlackBerry Curve. If you do not have the software, or you have a version before 6.1, you can download and install the latest version from the BlackBerry website, at us.blackberry.com.
- 2). Launch the BlackBerry desktop software. Once the software loads up, connect your Verizon Curve to an available USB port on your computer using your data cable. If an AutoPlay message appears on your scree, just click the "X" to close it. If a message appears on the BlackBerry asking if you want to turn on "Mass Storage Mode," select "No."
- 3). Click the "Back up now" button positioned in the middle of the BlackBerry Desktop Software window. The Back Up Options window will appear.
- 4). Click the radio button next to "Full" at the top of the window. You can also choose to place it next to "Quick," which will back up everything except your email, or "Custom," which will let you manually choose which items to back up.
- 5). Type a name for the backup file into the "File name" field. Click "Back Up" at the bottom of the screen. Once the progress bar is full, click "Close" to complete the back up process.
