    Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer

    • Make nine toilet paper roll reindeer with your toddler to pull Santa’s sleigh. Cover the cardboard roll with brown construction paper. Draw a reindeer face on brown construction paper and cut it out. Add wiggle eyes to the face, a mouth, ears and a red pompom for Rudolph’s nose or black for any of the other reindeer. Bend brown or black pipe cleaners into antlers and tape to the top of the head or punch the end of the antler into the head and bend the pipe cleaner end up and twist into place. Add a tail to the back of the roll and four black hooves. Connect nine of the reindeer with red ribbon and add small jingle bells.

Shoe and Hand Print Reindeer Puppet

    • Toddlers enjoy puppets and a reindeer puppet is just right for Christmas fun. Trace the outline of a toddler shoe and prints of both hands with outstretched fingers onto brown construction paper. Make two small triangles for ears on the paper. Cut the shapes out and attach the antler hand prints and ears to the heel of the shoe print. Add wiggle eyes and a pompom for the nose to the shoe print. Draw a mouth with a marker. Glue a craft stick to the back of the reindeer face and tie a red ribbon around the craft stick near the bottom of the face. Add a jingle bell if you desire one.

    Reindeer Herd Christmas Card

    • Use Christmas stationery to make your own reindeer Christmas card. Fold the paper in half and have your toddler make two thumbprints close together for each reindeer; one slightly higher than the other. Draw eyes, nose, mouth, ears and antlers on the higher of the thumbprint pairs. Add legs and hooves and a tail to the lower thumbprint and connect the two with lines for the neck. Spray the card with adhesive spray and sprinkle white glitter or shredded Styrofoam on the card for snow. Write a cheerful greeting on the inside of the card.

    Reindeer Cookie Tin

    • Paint a metal cookie tin white. While the paint is still tacky, cover the top with white glitter and shake any excess off. Cover Styrofoam peanuts with brown tempura paint or watercolor. After the peanut dries, draw eyes, nose and mouth with marker. Poke tiny twigs into the top of the head for antlers. Glue the reindeer faces onto the top of the can. Draw the bodies with markers if you desire them. Fill the tin with cookies and give as a gift.
