How to Build a Playhouse Bunk Bed
- 1). Pile pillows and blankets all over the bottom bunk or on the floor (depending on if you have a traditional bunk bed or loft style).
- 2). Add any special or favorite toys that your child enjoys playing with. For instance, if your child likes to play pirates, add his "sword."
- 3). Gather any books your child might like to read and stash a flashlight with them.
- 4). To really make your child happy, consider a snack bag containing non-messy, no-crumb snacks such as fruit roll-ups or string cheese. If you absolutely do not allow food in your child's room, even for this special occasion, skip this step.
- 5). Tuck large sheets underneath the top-bunk mattress, letting them hang down on the sides. Use as many sheets as necessary to create a completely hidden fortress under the top bed. Another option is using a small tent. If you choose this route, set the tent up before step one.
- 6). Draw the curtains or shades, turn off the lights and let the fun begin.
- 7). Once playtime is over, clean up by simply folding and putting away the pillows, blankets and sheets.
