PC Speakers Vs. Laptop Speakers
- Laptop speakers generally are limited by their size, as they must be as small as possible to be easy to carry around, and their powering method, which usually is via a USB port. PC speakers don't have such limitations, with their only limitation being the buyer's budget.
- A set of PC speakers can range from a simple 2.0 stereo speaker pair up to a large 7.1 surround set. Laptop speakers usually come in a stereo configuration, or even single-speaker configuration to minimize power use.
- The size and power limitations of laptop speakers also limits their overall performance. While PC speakers can take advantage of large speaker boxes and eventually a sub-woofer to cover all frequencies better, laptop speakers generally lack the bass.
