Snowy Adventure

  Select random sizes of white paper lace doilies and tie a piece of clear plastic fishing line to each of them. Hang the doilies from the ceiling or along the wall at various heights to create a snowflake scene. Attach some doilies onto the wall surface directly, and stack three white paper lace doilies on top of each other vertically, from largest on the bottom to smallest on the top, and draw a face on the top one to display a snowman.
  
  

Valentine's Day Cards

  Fold an 11-by-8 1/2-inch section of black construction paper in half. Glue red, white and pink heart-shaped paper lace doilies to the outside of the construction paper. Write a quick love note on white or colored paper, glue it to the inside and give it to that special someone for Valentine's Day. This is an inexpensive way to say "I'm thinking of you" on this very special day.
  
  

Picture Frames

  Cut out the solid center of a paper lace doily. Glue a photo onto a piece of cardboard or construction paper, and glue the doily over top of the picture as a frame. Use heart-shaped doilies for pictures of loved ones, or consider using circle or square doilies for friends or animal photos. Write a creative message or saying around the doily for a personal touch.
  
  

Doily Tree

  Select 10 to 15 circular paper doilies ranging from 3 inches to 1 inch in diameter; cutting may be required. Punch a hole through the center of them all. Fold the bottom 1/2-inch section of the pipe cleaner sideways to create an L-shape base for the doily, and place the 3-inch doily at the bottom of the pipe cleaner on top of the L-shaped base. The pipe cleaner will be standing vertically with the 3-inch doily placed at the base. Wind a section of another pipe cleaner horizontally around the vertically placed pipe cleaner to create a 1/4-inch space, and place a second doily on top. Use a slightly smaller doily each time and stack the doilies on top of one another with a 1/4-inch space between all, supported by horizontal pipe cleaners, until you reach the top. Select green or white doilies for a more festive appearance.
