Sugarmill Woods Restrictions
- Houses at Sugarmill Woods are restricted to the use of a single family. In addition, only one living structure, with a minimum of 1,900 square can be erected on each lot. A two-car garage is also allowed. Two adjacent lots can be purchased and joined as one, but in such a case only one building can be built on the lot.
- Commercial activity is not allowed in the Sugarmill Woods community. A homeowner in the community cannot use his property for business transactions. It is allowed, however, to rent property within the community. The Sugarmill Woods Oak Village Association can use its property for business purposes.
- Lawns must extend to the pavement line, and should be uniformly green and well-kept. Any major landscaping projects should be submitted to the Association for review. The Association maintains the right to refuse permission for landscaping on purely aesthetic grounds, in addition to practical concerns.
- No hedges or fences can be constructed in the front yard of a lot. Any other hedges or fences must be approved by the Association before being installed, and may be rejected by the Association on aesthetic grounds. Hedges, fences and outside walls cannot exceed four feet in height, must be contiguous with the lot line, and cannot be made of chain link, metal, or wire. If the wall, hedge, or fence is painted, it must be in a color that conforms with the color of the house.
