How to Make a Rose Stem Out of Paper

104 3

    Stem

    • 1). Cut the paper into a square shape. Fold the paper in half, then open it. Cut the paper into two equal rectangular pieces.

    • 2). Start from one corner edge of the paper. Slowly roll the paper into a cylinder shape, rolling the paper as tightly together as possible. Stop when about ½ inch of paper is left unrolled.

    • 3). Add some glue to the open section of paper, and continue to roll around the rest of the rose stem. Make a total of four sections for each rose stem.

    • 4). Repeat this process for the second rectangle half. Glue the small end of one tube into the large end of the other tube to make one long rose stem. Set the other two sections of the rose stem aside for now.

    Leaf

    • 1). Draw the outline of different-sized rose leaves onto the green paper. Make sure to make the edges of the petals jagged just like a real rose leaf. Add a long stem of paper to the base of the rose leaf. This is where the leaves will slip into the rose stems. Cut the rose leaf shapes out with scissors.

    • 2). Place a dab of craft glue on the ends of the rose leaves. Stick one or two rose leaves of various sizes inside the stem of the rose. Stick one of the remaining stem pieces over the rose leaf stems to hold the leaves in place.

    • 3). Repeat this process for the last stem piece, making sure that the rose leaves stick out at an opposite angle to the first set of leaves.
