DIY: How to Make Art From Reclaimed Wood
- 1). Cut several pieces of reclaimed wood into planks. Make the planks the same thickness while varying the length of each plank.
- 2). Lay the planks on the floor so they make a large rectangle or square. Trim any edge pieces accordingly to achieve the correct shape.
- 3). Cut a piece of plywood so it's slightly smaller than the final size of the reclaimed wood art piece.
- 4). Use construction adhesive to secure the reclaimed wood planks to the plywood. Let the artwork dry overnight.
- 5). Attach picture hanging hardware to the back of the plywood. Use heavy duty D-rings so they support the weight of the artwork.
