The school's certification programs require only one month of study with classes starting at least six times per year.     • Cambridge Institute of Allied Health is 15 miles north of Orlando in Longwood. The school's phlebotomy program is incorporated into its medical patient care technician program, which requires less than six months of full-time study to complete. In addition to learning the skills necessary for phlebotomy students receive training in electrocardiogram technollgy, nurse assisting and home health care. State and federal financial aid are offered through the school. Cambridge is also approved by the U.S. Department Veteran Affairs. Day and evening classes are available as well as job placement assistance.

    Lively Technical Center

    • Established in 1937, Lively Technical Center is in the capital city of Tallahassee. The phlebotomy program requires 165 hours of coursework, which include classes in communications, human relations, pediatric and infant medicine, medical terminology, CPR and laboratory sample processing. The school participates in state and federal financial aid and veterans programs as well as Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla Counties' programs that provide tuition assistance for unemployed residents. Counseling, job placement, a computer laboratory and tutoring services are available to all students.
