    Cut Your Hair

    • The first step to naturally growing your hair long in a short amount of time is to cut it. Unfortunately, all those split ends at the bottom of your mane are slowing your hair's growth, and in extreme cases, stopping it altogether. Take a good look at your hair and anywhere that it is split, fried, or damaged needs to go. For your hair to grow quickly, you have to bite the bullet and cut it.

    Allow Natural Oil Build Up

    • One of the easiest ways to encourage hair growth is to let its natural oils build up. Waiting three to four days between shampoos will allow natural oils to strengthen and fortify your hair, which will provide an ideal environment for accelerated hair growth.

    Avoid Heat

    • It is important that the new hair you are growing remains healthy and undamaged so your accelerated hair growth can continue. This means staying away from hot curling irons, hair dryers and steam-powered straighteners. While initially cutting off your hair's dead ends may give your hair a growth boost, the worst thing that can happen is for the ends to split again, resulting in having to cut your hair again.

    Use Natural Conditioners

    • Although plenty of good chemically based conditioners are available, if you want your hair to grow fast naturally, try using natural conditioners like olive or almond oil. Apply these natural oils to the scalp, work them through from the hair roots to the tips and leave on for 20 minutes. They can then be rinsed or shampooed out.
