How to Make Your Own Soccer Cards
- 1). Decide on the players who you want to appear on your soccer cards. The cards should include players from a dozen teams or less, rather than being random selections. In this way, you can make up a pack of cards containing players from either the major soccer playing nations or of players from some of the biggest clubs in the world.
- 2). Select thin white cardboard as the backing for your card. This should be cut into rectangular shapes of four-by-two and a half inches.
- 3). Choose photos of soccer stars for the front of your cards. Photos can be gathered from soccer magazines or programmes. Write down the player's names and accompanying information. This information should include the name of the player's club the player, their nationality and a brief biography, which should include their career highlights.
- 4). Cut out the photographs you require, remembering that each photo should fill a card already cut. The cards should be in portrait, not landscape. Paste a selected individual's photo onto one piece of cut card and repeat this process with the other photos.
- 5). Use a desktop publishing program to create a template design for the information on your cards, which should include the player's name, club, nationality and a brief biography. Print out a rough draft onto a sheet of paper to check that you have the correct size for your cards.
- 6). Print out the information of the players. Cut the information from the printed sheets of paper and paste the information onto the back of the cards.
