Pay for dates? Should the guy or girl pay?
After 2 hours of fun, the bill comes. 70 bucks. Since it's the first date, you think it would be a good idea that you split the bill with your date. Is this a good move?
I will tell you why this very move could be a deal breaker for a girl.
1. In most cases, the guy asks the girl out on a date. If you have asked her out on a date, in her mind you should be paying for the date.
2. Only friends split the bill. Do you want to be her friend or her date?
Did you ask her out. If you did, then you should pay for the date. It's the right thing to do. It's an unwritten rule that guys will pay for most of the dates. This doesn't mean that if the lady offers to pay you should not let her, but that is only under certain circumstances. If this is someone that you just started dating, then you should pay for the dates even if she offers. In fact, I would pay for the first 7 or so dates and after that if she offers to pay for one, I will let her.
If you decide to take her to a really nice restaurant, be prepared to foot the bill. If you did not plan on spending much money, then you should have planned better and thought of a less expensive date. Trying to split the bill at a nice restaurant will only make you look cheap in her eyes, and women hate a cheap man. You can take her on great dates without spending so much money, but it takes some creativity and planning on your part. Try a walk in a park, a picnic, or miniature golf if you are looking to not spend so much.
Guys keep this in mind. In the dating world, you will pay for most of the dates. Get used to it!
