How to Reset Keyless Remote Transmitters in a Jeep Grand Cherokee
- 1). Climb into your Jeep Grand Cherokee with your keyless remote(s) in hand and your manual ignition key. Do not close the driver's door.
- 2). Hit the "Lock" switch on your driver's side door and insert the key into the ignition.
- 3). Turn the key to the "Run" position and aim the keyless remote at the steering wheel. Press and hold the "Lock" button for five seconds.
- 4). Wait for the locks to respond by cycling then program each successive remote (up to four total) by holding the lock until the locks respond. Each remote must be programmed within 20 seconds of the last.
- 5). Turn the key in the ignition back to the "Off" position then quickly back to the "Run" position within 20 seconds of programming your last remote.
- 6). Turn the car off and remove the key from the ignition to complete the programming sequence.
