• 250 g Methi Leaves (Fenugreek Leaves, chopped)

• 4-5 Cloves

• heat ghee or oil in a pan
• Add jeera.
• When it starts spluttering, add cloves and cardamoms.
• Next, add turmeric powder and curry leaves. Set aside.
• Wash basmati rice and drain water.
• Put the rice in pressure cooker
• In hot water, wash palak and methi and drain the water.
• Add this to rice, along with cardamom and jeera mixture.
• Add coconut milk and 2-3 cups of water.
• Cook until one whistle.

- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. Toasted slivered almonds
- Cook the rice and onion in the butter in a large skillet.
- Cook until the rice is yellow and the onion is tender.
- Mix raisins, bouillon, curry powder, and salt in the rice.
- Add the water and stir. Cook over low heat until the liquid is absorbed or rice gets cooked.
- You can also cook it in microwave. Put a casserole with rice in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- The almonds can be toasted on a paper plate in the microwave. Stir in the almonds when ready to serve.
