How to Free Disk Space to Run Steam
- 1). Insert the disc into your computer's disc drive.
- 2). Click "Computer" from the "Start" menu.
- 3). Right-click your computer's disc drive. Click "Explore" from the pop-up menu.
- 4). Click "Edit" from the menu at the top of the window. Click "Select All" from the drop-down menu to select all the files.
- 5). Create a folder on your hard drive to store the files by clicking "New" followed by "Folder" from the drop-down menu. Enter a name for your folder.
- 6). Double-click the folder to enter it. Right-click anywhere in the folder and select "Paste" to begin copying the files from the installation CD to that folder.
- 7). Double-click the file labeled "Install.exe" to begin installation.
- 1). Download and install Steam from the Steam website. Launch Steam when the installation has completed.
- 2). Click "Games" at the top of the Steam window. Select "Activate a Product on Steam" from the drop-down menu.
- 3). Enter your CD Key in the field provided. The CD Key will be found on the inside of the CD case, on the back page of the manual or on the last page of the manual. The key will be either 16 or 20 digits in length.
- 4). Click "Next." If you have entered the CD key correctly, the download will begin.
