Eating is a normal and essential part of life, and eating should be enjoyable when the amount and type of food consumed is healthy.  In fact, healthy eating is part of nutritional recovery from other addictions, such as alcohol and drug addictions.

However, when eating becomes excessive, or too much unhealthy food is eaten or if healthy foods are rejected, eating can become unhealthy.
