Do it Yourself Kids' Bed Canopy
- 1). Measure the distances between the bed posters to determine the length and width of the bed canopy. Add 1 inch to each measurement.
- 2). Cut the lace fabric to the measurement with the scissors.
- 3). Fold one edge of the fabric under 1/4 inch, twice, to the wrong side, and pin in place with the straight pins. Sew a straight stitch as close to the top edge of the fabric on the wrong side as possible with the sewing machine or needle and thread. Repeat on all sides of the lace fabric.
- 4). Cut the satin ribbon into four equal pieces with scissors.
- 5). Fold one length of ribbon in half and attach it to a corner of the canopy with small hand stitches, using the needle and thread. Repeat, attaching ribbon to each canopy corner.
- 6). Tie the ribbons around the bed posters to attach the canopy to the bed.
