How to Shrink to a Smaller File Size in Adobe PDF
- 1). Double-click the "Adobe Acrobat" icon on the Desktop or in the Quick Launch area to open the program.
- 2). Press "Ctrl" and "O." Browse to the PDF file and double-click on the file name to open the document.
- 3). Click "File" in the Adobe Acrobat menu and select "Reduce File Size."
- 4). Select the compatibility option such as "Acrobat 5.0 or later" and click "OK."
- 5). Click "Save" and then click "Yes" to save the reduced PDF file. Note that the original file will be overwritten unless you type a different name in the field "File Name."
