How to Reset the Compass on a T-Touch
- 1). Press the "T" button at the crown location to activate the touch sensitivity. Press the tactile sapphire watch face crystal, also referred to as the glass, at the six o'clock position to activate the compass mode. The compass reading will appear in the digital display in the lower part of the watch face and the hands become the needle.
- 2). Press the "+" button on the bezel side for two seconds to activate the magnetic variation function. The "+" button is at the two o'clock position. Then press the "+" button to increase variation to the east by one degree for each press. Or press the "-" button at four o'clock to move the variation to the west by one degree for each press. Then press "T" to confirm the magnetic variation setting.
- 3). Hold the watch horizontally and the minute hand will point to the adjusted north. The digital display will indicate the variation for 30 seconds, for example: "2 E."
- 4). Reset the T-Touch compass to make its needle point to true north by following Step Two, and setting the variation to "0." For example, if the compass is set to a magnetic variation of "2 E," press the minus button twice to move the variation west by two degrees and back to zero.
