Camera Does Not Operate

• 1). Turn the camera's power on by pushing the lens slide cover to the left. The slide cover opens easily and does not require force.
  
  
• 2). Check that the batteries are inserted correctly in the camera and replace them if needed. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera and the cover is opened by sliding the cover latch to the left and pulling up on the cover. The Camedia D360L requires four AA batteries. Refer to the symbols on the battery cover to ensure the batteries are inserted properly.
  
  
• 3). Close the lens slide cover and open it again if the camera has been sitting for a period of time and not used. The camera will enter standby mode if not used for awhile to save battery power.
  
  
• 4). Disconnect the camera from a computer, if it is connected. You cannot take pictures with the Camedia D360L if the camera is connected to a computer.
  
  

Shutter Does Not Go Off

• 1). Check that the lens slide cover is fully open so you can take pictures.
  
  
• 2). Wait until the flash charges before trying to take another picture. The flash is fully charged when the green indicator light on the back of the camera stops blinking.
  
  
• 3). Insert a new memory card into the camera. The memory card slot is on the right side of the camera. Pull the memory card cover open to reveal the memory card slot. Slide the memory card into the slot with the label of the memory card facing the back of the camera. Close the memory card cover when you are finished inserting the card.
  
  
• 4). Delete images from the card. You cannot take additional photographs if the memory card is full. To delete images, close the lens slide cover and press the "LCD" button on the back of the camera. The last picture you took will appear on the screen. Scroll through the pictures using the "+" or "-" buttons. Press the "Erase" button on the top of the camera when the picture you want to delete is onscreen. Press the "+" or "-" buttons to choose "Yes" when asked to confirm the deletion and press the "OK" button to finish deleting the photograph.
  
  

Blurry Photographs

• 1). Place the autofocus mark in the viewfinder over the subject of the photograph. The autofocus mark is a crosshair. The camera automatically focuses on the person or object within the autofocus mark.
  
  
• 2). Put the camera on a tripod or a flat surface to reduce camera shake when taking a photograph. Camera shake is when the camera is not held steadily when taking a photograph.
  
  
• 3). Move the camera 20 inches away from the subject of the photograph. If you want to take a picture at a closer distance, press the "Macro/Digital Tele" button on the top of the camera to enter macro mode and take the picture as normal.
  
  
• 4). Clean off the camera lens with a soft cloth. Do not rub the lens hard as you do not want to create any scratches.
