How to Make an Olympic Olive Wreath
- 1). Collect green leaves, vines and thin, pliable branches from your yard.
- 2). Spread out your foilage on your work space. An adult can wrap the vines or branches around the child's head, and cut off the appropriate length with a pair of floral cutters.
- 3). Secure the headdress circle with masking tape or twist ties.
- 4). Plug in a hot glue gun with a glue stick loaded. Allow the glue to heat up. An adult will attach extra leaves around the branch or vine to fill out the wreath.
- 1). Draw 20 olive leaves on a piece of green construction paper with a pencil or marker. If you do not know what an olive leaf looks like, then print out a photo of olive leaves from the web or print a leaf template. Olive leaves are narrow leaves.
- 2). Cut out your olive leaves.
- 3). Squeeze white craft glue on a plastic hairband.
- 4). Place the tips of your olive leaves into the glue. Fill the hair band with olive leaves and allow the glue to dry.
- 5). Place the "wreath" on a child's head like a crown.
