How to Eliminate a Corrupt EXE File
- 1). Click "Start," type "cmd" into the search field and press "Enter" to open the Command Prompt window.
- 2). Type the following command at the command prompt, and press "Enter." Note that "name.exe" should be replaced with the name of the corrupt file.
del name.exe - 3). Type "exit," and press "Enter" to close the Command Prompt window.
- 1). Click the "Start" menu.
- 2). Type "name.exe" into the search field. Note that "name.exe" should be replaced with the name of the corrupt file.
- 3). Right-click "Name.exe" in the results list, and select "Delete."
