co.moore.nc.us - The County Board must, in most cases, also designate an area for election-related activity (talking with voters, distributing literature) adjacent to the buffer zone. The only exception to this requirement is where a privately owned building is being used as a polling place, and there is no such area available. In no circumstance may anyone display a sign, wear a button, T-shirt or other promotional item in favor of a candidate while inside the polling place.
