Lobsterfest Event is Complete With a Seashell Boat
There is no need to worry about finding a great party craft item for your next Lobsterfest party.
We've got it right here!All you need are a few simple and naturally found supplies and you'll be able to create Seashell Boats for the guests or with the guests at your next Lobsterfest.
This is an excellent craft item to keep the kids entertained at your party, especially since it's more of an adult event.
Plus, if you find light enough seashells, you'll be able to float your little boats in the kiddie pool afterwards.
Seashell Boats All you'll need for this Lobsterfest craft item are; plastic bags, small twigs, modeling clay and clean seashells.
First you'll need to create a sail for your sailboat with the plastic bags.
Have an adult cut out a triangular shaped piece of plastic from the plastic bag.
Cut it to look like a simple sailboat sail and to be about two-thirds the length of the small twig you'll be using.
Next, use your scissors to snip small vertical slits along the long side of your makeshift sail.
You can then slide the twig through these slits to create the sail and mast for your little seashell boat.
You'll need to stabilize your sail in your seashell with a small lump of clay.
Pinch off a piece of clay and press it into the deepest part of your Lobsterfest seashell.
Press the twig into this lump of clay and mold the clay up around it until the twig remains upright.
You'll have to let your clay dry properly, but in a pinch you should be able to being floating your little seashell boats immediately.
Remember, you'll need to pick very light items for your Lobsterfest boats, if you want them to float.
