How to Hang Mold-Resistant Drywall
- 1). Measure the distance from the edge of the installation area to the wall studs. Note these measurements down on a piece of paper.
- 2). Measure out the same distances -- edge to stud to stud -- on the face of the drywall and make marks at every interval where the drywall will cover a stud once it is hung.
- 3). Place the drywall into the installation area and press it up against the studs so that it is flush with the wall around it.
- 4). Drill several screw holes through the drywall and into the studs at the places you marked out in Step 2. You should have one screw hole every 4 to 6 inches on the drywall.
- 5). Insert drywall screws into each screw hole and tighten them down with your screwdriver.
