Video: How to Keep a French Manicure White & Clean
Video Transcript
Hi, everyone. My name is Joi, licensed manicurist, and I'm going to show you how to keep your French manicure white and clean. So the things that I'm going to use are alcohol and a cotton ball and then I'll also be using a high shine buffer. So what we've done is we've done the French manicure and the first step will be something that you will have already done prior to completing the manicure and that's going to be to make sure that you put your topcoat on. The topcoat is always going to make sure that the color of the polish is protected. So if you find that you need a touch-up maybe in the middle of the week or a couple days after you've done your French manicure, one of the things that you can do is to use a buffer and basically that is going to just remove any dust or any dirt that may have settled on the top layer of your polish. Now you want to be very gentle with it because French manicures are delicate. So you just want to lightly buff wherever you see any dullness or any dust or any discoloration, just lightly buff over the nail, okay, very light pressure. So do that anywhere where you feel like you need the touch-up and then another thing that you can do is to take alcohol and a cotton ball, make sure that you're not using nail polish remover or clearly that's the end of your French manicure. Take the alcohol with the cotton ball and just lightly kind of buff and dust over the nail. That will actually rejuvenate some of the shine and it will clean everything up for you. So just a couple of tips to prolong your French manicure. Hope this helps everyone out and thanks for watching. I'm Joi.
