2001 Ford F150 King Ranch Full Radio Removal
- 1). Remove any media (CDs of tapes) from your factory radio, then turn off the ignition of the vehicle and set the parking brake to hold the vehicle still while you work.
- 2). Pry around the edges of the trim panel that surrounds the radio and center air vents with a panel tool until you've released all of the clips that hold the panel in place. Place the panel to the side for later reinstallation.
- 3). Insert your pair of DIN tools into the face of the radio--one into each side of the face. You can purchase DIN tools at auto supply or car audio stores. Push the tips of the tools in until you hear a click.
- 4). Spread the tools slightly, and pull the radio out of the dash. Unplug the wiring harnesses and antenna plug from the back of the radio.
