List of Content on Drupal Profiles
- A link to the user's blog entries appears on the profile page, as long as the core blog module is activated. The link to the user's blog appears whether the user has blog entries or not. If the user has no blog entries, the blog page is blank.
- The member history stamp is included on the profile page by default. This time stamp tells how long the user has been a member of the site. It's posted beneath the "Member For" column on the profile page.
- The user's profile picture is located on the top of the profile page, providing the user has a profile picture. Users can add a profile picture by clicking on "Edit" under their profile heading, and then click "Choose File" beneath "Picture."
- The Drupal core profile module is deprecated, and has been replaced by Profile 2. Download Profile 2 from the Drupal repository and upload it through the "Modules" administration section. Check the box next to "Profile 2" then click "Save" to activate the module. You'll now be able to add custom content to user profiles.
- Click on "Structure" then click on "Profile Types." Click on "Manage Fields" next to "Main Profile." Here you'll add fields allowing users to add content to their profiles. Type the name for the field, and then select the widget. Choose "Long Text" if you want to add a text field, for a bio for example, or select "File" if you want users to be able to upload files.
