    Transparent Wire-Wrapped Quartz

    • 1). Choose a piece of transparent irregularly shaped quartz about 1 to 2 inches long and 1/2-inch to 1-inch wide. Amethyst is purple quartz. Citrine is yellow quartz. Rose is pink quartz. A triangular shape is easy to work with because of the angles.

    • 2). Wrap the piece of quartz in the copper wire as if you were wrapping a present. Lay the quartz on the wire. Bring the ends of the wire to the front of the quartz. Cross the ends and twist with the pliers so the wires are now at a 180-degree angle from the first set.

    • 3). Continue wrapping the quartz in wire at different angles twisting with the pliers each time the wires cross until the quartz is securely enclosed.

    • 4). Bring the ends of the wire to the top of the quartz. Make a loop and twist. The loop is where you slide the pendant onto a chain or ribbon to wear. Cut the wires and tuck under at the front of the pendant.

    Glass Tiles

    • 1). Use glass tiles with rounded polished sides. You can find them where jewelry supplies are sold. Clean the tiles with glass cleaner and let dry.

    • 2). Put a drop of super glue on the edge of the exact middle of the tiles. Put a drop of superglue on the bail. Immediately glue the bail to the tile. The bail has a loop that is used to hang the pendant from and a flat lip that is glued to the pendant.

    • 3). Glue another bail on the bottom center edge of the middle sized tile and the large tile. The bail will have the loop going in the opposite direction of the bail on top of the tile.

    • 4). Separate the juncture of the link at the top and bottom of a 1/2-inch length of chain. Slip one open link through the loop of the bail of the smallest tile. Squeeze it shut with the pliers.

    • 5). Slip the open link on the other side of the chain through the bail at the bottom of the middle sized tile. Squeeze it shut. The small and middle sized tiles are now attached to each other. Attach the top bail of the middle size to the bottom bail of the large tile with the chain. Now all three tiles are attached and ready to use as a transparent necklace pendant.
