How to Make Silk Rosette Flowers
- 1). Fold one end of the ribbon over by one-quarter inch, and hold it in place. Fold the entire ribbon in half lengthwise. Rub your fingers along the fold, to help it stay in place without making a visible crease.
- 2). Thread the needle, and tie a knot in the end. Insert the needle underneath the fold in the end of the ribbon, close to the side opposite the folded edge.
- 3). Twist the ribbon slightly so it starts to wind around itself, creating a tube shape. As you twist, wrap the ribbon around to form a shape similar to a cinnamon roll. Sew a running stitch along the bottom edge edge as you go, keeping the ribbon tight and secure. When you get to the end, fold the corner of the ribbon down so the edge is hidden, and sew it in place.
- 4). Adjust the petals to your liking, and pull the thread tight to hold everything in place. Make a knot, and trim off the excess thread.
