How to Connect a Home Audio Equalizer to an Audio Switch
- 1). Connect the white and red plugs on a set of audio cables into the OUT to AMP jacks on the back of the audio switch, using the white plug for the left channel and the red plug for the right.
- 2). Insert the other ends of the plugs into the Audio IN jacks or Pre AMP IN jacks on the back of the home audio equalizer.
- 3). Connect a second set of RCA audio cables to the Audio OUT jacks on the equalizer using the same color codes (white for left and red for right). Insert the plugs on the other ends into the main Audio IN jacks on the amplifier.
- 4). Attach cables to the IN jacks on the audio switch and OUT jacks on individual components, such as a CD player or turntable, then use the switch to select between them. The selected audio source will be transmitted to the equalizer and on to the amplifier, which processes the signal into sound through connected speakers.
