    • 1). Mix the milk, eggs and vanilla in one of the mixing bowls. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in the other mixing bowl. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing with the handheld mixer to make a smooth batter. Add the 1/2 cup of oil after mixing the batter for about 1 minute and then mix for another minute to make the batter smooth.

    • 2). Pour 1 inch of oil into the skillet and place it onto the stovetop. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until the oil becomes 375 degrees.

    • 3). Pour the batter into the squeeze bottle. Squeeze the batter into the hot oil, making a circular shape with a diameter of about 4 to 5 inches. Drizzle the batter in a random motion to create the funnel cake, filling in the space to make a spider web of batter.

    • 4). Fry the funnel cake on the first side for about 1 to 2 minutes -- until the batter becomes golden brown. Slide the slotted spatula under the funnel cake and flip it carefully to fry the other side for another 1 to 2 minutes.

    • 5). Place two to three layers of paper towels on a plate and transfer the funnel cake to the paper towels. Cool the funnel cake for 1 minute and then sprinkle powdered sugar generously over the top. Serve the funnel cake warm.
