How to Replace a PSP Faceplate
- 1). Turn off your PSP and turn it face-down.
- 2). Remove the battery cover from the side of the back of the unit and lift the battery out of the compartment.
- 3). Remove the two screws on either end of the interior of the battery compartment.
- 4). Remove the two screws on the opposite side of the back of the PSP. Remove the single screw located on the very bottom of the unit, in the middle.
- 5). Grip the front faceplate at the seam where it connects to the body of the PSP. Gently pull the faceplate off of the unit.
- 6). Fit the new faceplate (available from a Sony retailer or online) over the body of the PSP and press down firmly on the corners until it snaps in place.
- 7). Replace all the screws on the rear and bottom of the PSP.
